A Japanese style party

I live in a quite small apartment, one room, one kitchen and a living room. My living room is quite wide actually, but I put many stuff there from sofas, tables, a mini bar, treadmill, and a big crane statue that I must be half drunk when buying it. It looked gorgeous in the store, but it uses too much space in my living room.

One day my boss has this brilliant idea on making a welcome party to a new staff in our office and decided to do it at my apartment. None of my arguments can make him take his words, and I am left with a burden on my shoulder. Okay, I believe every obstacle comes with a solution. I spent the whole evening figuring out how to solve the problem. In my way home, my girlfriend called. She is Japanese who works as a secretary on the company just across my office building. They are the master of small houses. I told her to come over to my apartment and she agreed.

I told everything about my problem and she said my living room is more than enough to accommodate all my colleagues, but I need to do it the Japanese way. She is my angel all right. I asked her to help me this Saturday and she agreed with a dinner as an exchange. I’ll give her more than a dinner.

She told me to prepare everything up. I will need small tables, pillows and rugs. She’ll provide the small tables and pillows she said she has plenty. She told me to find area rugs that fit my living room. My neighbor is willing to help by storing all my stuff for one day on Saturday. And my girlfriend said she’ll cook some Japanese meal to really give the Japanese atmosphere. I found some cheap rugs online, and they say that it will arrive on Friday.

Everything is going smooth and I can’t wait for Saturday to come.
